Faridabad, 7 October ( Naveen Gupta): Members of DLF Industries Association would go on Delegation visit to Taiwan with PHD Chamber – said Mr. J.P. Malhotra, President DLF Industries Association @ the Delegation Level Interaction with Leader of 2016 ROC Business Delegate to India Mr. Ian Chan in New Delhi on 6th October 2016. Mr. J.P. Malhotra in his comments during the session informed the Delegates that Haryana and more particularly Faridabad offers sizeable and enormous Investment and Collaboration opportunities to Taiwan manufacturers especially in fields like LED, Solar Cells, Semi Conductor and FPD equipment.

Mr. J.P. Malhotra said that with India’s focus on its Act East Policy, this is the right time for both the countries to do business with each other and to be a partner in each other’s development. Areas of economic cooperation where there is considerable potential for increased collaboration between India and Taiwan include information technology, energy, telecommunications, electronics, shipping, steel, textiles, financial services, food processing, tourism etc.

DLF Industries Association may be joined by FCCI and other Industry Associations of Faridabad and provide useful communication and contacts to Taiwanese Investors to understand Business Climate and Culture in Haryana. Delegates namely Ms. Jue Ching Hu, Mr. Chen Chientsai Jackie, Joe Ko evinced interest in carrying the dialogue further for logical deliberations and conclusions. Mr. Surinder Kalra Co-Chairman Foreign Trade and Investment Committee PHD joined Mr. Malhotra in promoting Faridabad’s industrialisation and suggested that he would like to invite entrepreneurs of Faridabad. Ms. Tiffany Chien the Secretary of Chinese Intt. Economic Cooperation was also present along with S/Sh. O.P. Lochab, Nimisha Kumar, Wg. Cdr. Deshendra Renjen, Ms. Simi Anderson, EVP Intt. Human Rights Organisation, R.K. Yadav, Anil Khaitan, Sr. Vice President, PHD and many others.

Since a lot of Taiwanese companies are looking to invest in India, there is a need to create more awareness on how India and Taiwan can achieve the full potential of the already growing business cooperation between the two countries and develop a meaningful bilateral partnership.

According to Mr. J.P. Malhotra, there is an opportunity to add Electronic/Electrical items being included in the manufacture basket of Faridabad. With Gionee setting up a plant this diversification movement will add to composite establishment of Faridabad as a dependable Quality Manufacturing Hub in Electronics/Electrical item and offer employment to engineering graduates in this field.
