Faridabad, 31 October: Industry Can not sustain without use of Gensets because of frequent unannounced power cuts & erratic power supply by DHBVNL. EPCA/CPCB should take a pragmatic & practical view and allow use of Gensets (meeting Pollution Control norms) – This is a considered view of DLF Industries Association said Mr. JP Malhotra. At a meeting of Governing Body of the Association convened for the purpose to discuss & ascertain the impact of EPCA on blanket ban of Gensets in NCR including Faridabad, attended by senior entrepreneur of the area running industrial enterprises across matrix of Engineering, Textile & Auto Components , members enclosed their concern & anguish. Blanket ban on Gensets would paralyze the industry, result in reduction of workforce, who would fail to meet deadlines & demands of principal buyers & exports. Continuous power is an essential ingredient & resource. DHBVNL has perpetually failed to supply or even assure of uninterrupted power supply. Power outages are a norm in Faridabad Absence of continuous supply of power always hampers & effects production and productivity loss of manhours.Governing Body Members of DLF Industries Association unanimously wish to urge EPCA to reconsider its decision & unconditionally revoke its blanket order for Ban on use of Gensets in Faridabad Industry will collapse. Whatever may be the reason, DHBVNL cannot supply continuous power. We at DLF Industries Association appeal to EPCA, Minister of Environment GOI, Central Pollution Control Board, Hon’ble Minister for MSME to sit together and work upon the real cause of Pollution which does not lie with the MSME’s.Prominent among those present were S/sh. Sandeep Gupta, MP Rungta, SK Batra, Vijay Raghavan, KK Nangia, TC Dhawan, ML Goyal, Arjeet Chawla, Mandhir Singh, Shailendra, Bhupender Singh, Sri Ram Aggarwal, Jagmohan Singh, JP Malhotra and others.
