Faridabad, 14 May (Naveen Gupta): Basic First Aid procedures and steps should be known to as many employees as possible in each organisation – said Mr. J.P. Malhotra, President HSPC in his address at the start of 3-day Training Programme organised by HSPC from 12th May onwards. Accidents do not wait. Prevention and treatment can reduce the misery and suffering of the injured and loss of man hours of the organisation. Participants should take initiative to share their Training Learnings to at least one fellow colleague in the factory so that we create a multiplier effect and enlarge the trained workforce for ‘Basic First-Aid.’

Mr. Surender Suhag, Dy. Director Industrial Safety & Health Govt. of Haryana stressed the need of trained First Aid personnel in the company. It is not only a mandatory requirement but also a moral responsibility of the Management. The owners/manager should ensure safe work conditions, take recommended accident prevention measures both for Mechanical, Electrical and Civil equipments. There is need for Safety everywhere be it Road, Residence, Company or Office. The issue should be taken seriously by the Employees and Employers. The need of the hour is Awareness and Mindset.

Dr. Ragal Chowdhary, Dy. Director Health advised the participant companies to organise routine health checkups at regular intervals. A healthy workforce means productive work. First-Aid Box in the company should have more of equipments than medicines. All of us must have consideration from the heart to help the accident victims anywhere and everywhere.

Mr. G.C. Narang, Imm. Past President, in his address congratulated Mr. J.P. Malhotra, President and his Team for organising Training Programmes on a subject of vital interest and consequences and advised the participants to look into small things that can cause accidents.

Mr. H.L. Bhutani, Sr. Vice President welcomed the participants and thanked the organisation for deputing their employees and explained that Blood Donation is an integral part of First-Aid Training. The participants need to learn and grasp the content in the next three days. The 3-day First-Aid Training would be conducted by Sh. Rattan Singh Azad of Red Cross Society and certification as required by IS&H would be done by St. John Ambulance.

Mr. Surender Suhag joined by the dignitaries on the dias, presented ‘First-Aid Manual’ to the participants to serve as a useful Refernce Handbook and appreciated the initiative of HSPC.

Mr. Bechu Giri, Hony. Secretary proposed formal Vote of Thanks. The Training Programme was attended by 35 participants from various enterprises namely Shivani Locks, Sterling Tools, Imperial Auto Industries, Keselec Schrede, Lakhani Armaan Group, Whirlpool, PYN Precision Components, Sai Packaging, Richa Industries, The Printer House, Bhartiya Valves, Ess Gee Industries and the like.
