Faridabad, 24 August: ‘Rakhi is a thread that binds two souls in a bond of joy forever’. The Pre-primary wing of Modern Delhi Public School, Greater Faridabad celebrated ‘The Joy of Giving’ to mark ‘Raksha Bandhan’, the festival of love and bonding on Friday 24th August. The young angels of class Prep. visited Chetna Welfare Society, Sector 23 to bring the sparkle of joy to more than 200 less privileged children there.
The young scholars spent some quality time with the children, providing them with the much needed feeling of togetherness and bonding of a family, which made Raksha Bandhan special to all.
To add to the cheer and joy, the young Modern Dipsites tied rakhi to the inmates of Chetna Welfare Society. This was followed by the distribution of gifts brought by the young Modern Dipsites. The young scholars even presented cultural presentations to bring smile on their faces.
The inmates were greatly touched with the love and affection expressed by the young Modern Dipsites.The young angels of Modern Delhi Public School also got the opportunity to interact with the under privileged children and could realize the importance of the virtue of love, care and share.
At the end of a lovely, elevating and entertaining day, the students left with hearts overflowing with love and delight. The visit was an enriching experience for the students.
