Faridabad, 11 August : GST- Good & Simple Tax  is now a reality & needs to appreciated as a positive step towards Ease of Doing Business implemented by present Govt. under the leadership of  Prime Minister Narender Modi- said J.P. Malhotra President DLF Industries Association presenting welcome address to  participants of the First Ever Awareness Workshop on “GST AUDIT – Prerequisite & Significance” on 10th August 2017 at Conference Hall

TAP-DC: Explaining the objective of Today’s event, Mr. J.P. Malhotra informed ever since 2015 – DLF  Industries Association has organised 6 Seminars on GST- addressed by eminent practicing Chartered Accountants including Bimal Jain, N.K.  Gupta, Priyanka Garg, Rajiv Khurana, Nagesh Bajaj. Since GST has now become integral in our Finance, Checks & balances need to understood   by enterprises before  authorities  start GST Audits.

Mr. Vimal Jain gave reflections of GST & its Audit implications. CA Vishal Jain very aptly elaborated the concept of GST Audit & what enterprises need to  do as a matter of advance preparation. FAQs were  answered & requirements of GST audit under the GST law were explained. Audit has to be taken as effective tool & will help optimizing Tax, incidence, identifying errors, there by adding value.

Need of verification, preview of records, tax position adopted now becomes important. GST Audit is essential for better compliance, lesser tax, evasion, transparency, ease of governance.

Mr. J.P. Malhotra remarked that with the use of DATA collected through Technology adoption, analysis  of information so far collected by GST authorities should synergise with  the challenges to be faced by the Tax payer.

A very lively interactive Q & A lasting for 45 minutes followed the presentation.

Ms. Charu Smita CEO TAP-DC thanked the participants & their organisation for nominations of large number of participants to be present.
