A sea of spectators visited the Surajkund International Crafts Mela, Faridabad, on Sunday and so far, about 3.00 lakh people have visited the Mela till Sunday. On Sunday, about 1.00 lakh visitors kept a date with the Mela and cherished every moment spent at the Mela. The craftspersons are doing a brisk business with people turning up in good numbers to be a part of the Mela. People along with their families enjoyed the Mela and not only shopped the unique handlooms and handicrafts showcased at the Mela but also relished authentic delicacies at the Food Court. Talking about the stupendous response the Mela has generated, Mrs Sumita Misra, Managing Director, Haryana Tourism Corporation & Chief Administrator, Surajkund Mela Authority said that this time the Mela has ushered a new eave of joy and happiness among people, which is why, we are seeing crowds in every corner of the Mela.She further stated that this year the added attraction of helicopter joy rides along with the participation of over 20 countries and enthralling cultural programmes at Chaupal daily are drawing people to the Mela. This Mela is a one-stop-shop for the best arts and crafts from different states and countries of the world. So come experience the colours & cultures of the world at Surajkund!
