Faridabad, 22 september : Make safety a habit & important trait in your attitude so that accidents are avoided said Mr. J.P. Malhotra President DLF Industries Association in a Message to Trainees at the Full Day Training on First Aid & CPR organised by Technology And Personality Development Centre on 22nd Sept. 2018.

The objective is to prepare First Aiders who know basic Do’s & Don’t & can take the Accident Victim to the Doctor /  Hospital without loss of time following protocol of movement of Accident Victims.

Accidents do not wait. Therefore  First Aiders should be available in numbers in any organisation. Mr. J.P. Malhotra referred to recent circular of Government of Haryana that all factory guards / drivers transporters should be equipped with Basic First Aid knowledge & provide Service to victim as the need be.

Conducted by expert Trainer Ms. Meenu Kaushal from Red Cross Society Faridabad, the participants were given knowledge & practical demonstration of actions, procedures & treatments to be followed should  an accident happen. One can use any suitable prop available in the vicinity.  Demonstration of Rustication procedures of CPR were dealt in detail to take care of  the stroke/heart attack  @ work place.

Ms. Charu Smita Malhotra CEO TAP-DC suggested that  names of First Aiders in a company should be prominently displayed at strategic locations with their contacts so that delays in treatment – which can prove fatal – are reduced. The  First Aid Box must be duly painted with Red Cross signage & packed with relevant accessories  bandages / medicines etc.

Companies  should educate & Motivate the line supervisions to celebrate accident free days. She reiterated what Mr. J.P. Malhotra said that Safety be inculcated as a habit in employees. Ms. Charu Smita Malhotra proposed that TAP-DC would move to All India Council of Technical Education and Haryana Vishwakarma Skill University to include a full subject on Safety/ First Aid /Accident causes/ procedures at the college level for Diploma & degree students so that companies can get skilled employees with Basic First Aid knowledge.

TAP-DC presented a Book on Basic First Aid published by Indian Red Cross Society, along with a small First Aid kit to invoke a feeling of awareness beside Certificate of participation to all the participants.

Ms. Charu Smita, CEO TAP-DC thanked Secretary Red Cross Mr. Gaurav & Mr. Ishan Koushik for their support in organisation of the useful Full Day First Aid Training which will go a long way in preparing an Army of First Aiders.
